Songbird Theatre develops and produces new musicals from first read to final bow. Through readings, cabarets, and full productions, we give writers and composers across the Chicagoland area a home to test, shape, and share original work. We believe new work deserves room to be imperfect, playful, and alive—and we build that room for the artists making it and the audiences discovering it.
